In this Order, we grant in part the motion for extension of time filed by Vizada, Inc. and VIZADA Services LLC (together Vizada) in the above-captioned proceeding. We find that it is in the public interest to extend to September 10 the deadline for Vizada’s replies to Inmarsat plc’s and Stratos Global Corporation’s oppositions. 2. Robert M. Franklin and Inmarsat plc (Inmarsat, and together with Mr. Franklin, Applicants) have filed a series of applications (collectively, Application) pursuant to sections 214 and 310(d) of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended, seeking approval of the indirect transfer of control of Stratos Global Corporation (Stratos Global) and its wholly-owned subsidiaries that hold licenses and authorizations from the Commission, from an irrevocable trust, for which Mr. Franklin is the trustee, to Inmarsat. Vizada filed a petition to deny the Application on August 13, 2008.1 Inmarsat and Stratos 1 Vizada Inc. and VIZADA Services LLC, Petition to Deny, filed August 13, 2008. Federal Communications Commission DA 08-2017 2 Global filed oppositions to the motion to deny on August 25, 2008.2 Vizada’s replies to the oppositions are due September 2, 2008.3 3. On August 22, 2008, Vizada filed a motion for extension of time requesting that any reply would be due on September 15, 2008, claiming that “key Vizada personnel” would be unavailable from August 25-29 and September 4-5.4 On August 27, 2008, Inmarsat and Stratos Global filed a joint opposition to Vizada’s motion for an extension of time.5 On the same day, Vizada filed a reply to the opposition to the motion for extension of time.6 4. It is the policy of the Commission that extensions of time are not routinely granted. However, after reviewing the request for extension of time and the joint opposition to an extension of time, we have concluded that the public interest would be served by granting in part the extension Vizada requests. The Bureau shall grant an eight-day extension of time for Vizada to file replies to the oppositions to the petition to deny. Accordingly, the date for filing Vizada’s replies is September 10, 2008. 5. IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that Vizada’s motion for an extension of time IS GRANTED IN PART, and that the time for filing replies to the Inmarsat and Stratos Global oppositions IS EXTENDED until September 10, 2008.
