In light of this statutory deadline, the Commission set the comment and reply comment due dates as 12 and 20 days, respectively, after publication of the summary of the NET 911 Act NPRM in the Federal Register. A summary of the Commission’s NET 911 Act NPRM was published in the Federal Register today, August 28, 2008, triggering the cycle for comments and replies.2 Accordingly, comments are due by September 9, 2008 and replies are due by September 17, 2008. All pleadings should reference WC Docket No. 08-171.
