Washington, D.C. 20554 DA 08-2260 October 9, 2008 PUBLIC SAFETY AND HOMELAND SECURITY BUREAU ANNOUNCES REGION 24 (MISSOURI) PUBLIC SAFETY REGIONAL PLANNING COMMITTEE TO HOLD 800 MHZ NPSPAC REGIONAL PUBLIC SAFETY PLANNING MEETING PR Docket No. 93-131 The Region 24 (Missouri) 800 MHz Public Safety Regional Planning Committee (RPC) will hold its next meeting on Thursday, November 20, 2008, beginning at 10:00 a.m., at the Missouri State Highway Patrol General Headquarters, Second Floor Conference Room, 1510 East Elm, Jefferson City, Missouri. The agenda for the 800 MHz meeting includes: § Review of pending Region 24 800 MHz applications § Update on status of 800 MHz rebanding in Region 24 § Update on APCO’s 800 MHz workshops to educate RPC’s on filing amended 800 MHz plan § Update on the status of non-public safety 800 MHz channels coordinated for public safety use between 854-860 MHz (Nextel vacated spectrum) The Region 24 800 MHz Public Safety RPC meeting is open to the public. It is essential that public safety agencies in all areas of government, including state, municipality, county, and Native American Tribal organizations eligible under Section 90.20 of the Commission’s rules, 47 C.F.R. § 90.20, be represented in order to ensure that each agency’s future spectrum needs are considered in the allocation process. Administrators who are not oriented in the communications field should delegate someone with this knowledge to attend, participate, and represent their agency’s needs. All interested parties wishing to participate in the planning for the use of public safety spectrum in the 800 MHz band within Region 24 should plan to attend.
