Washington, D.C. 20554 DA 08-2261 October 9, 2008 PUBLIC SAFETY AND HOMELAND SECURITY BUREAU ANNOUNCES REGION 45 (WISCONSIN) PUBLIC SAFETY REGIONAL PLANNING COMMITTEES TO HOLD 700 MHZ AND 800 MHZ NPSPAC REGIONAL PUBLIC SAFETY PLANNING MEETINGS PR Docket No. 92-273 The Region 45 (Wisconsin)1 Public Safety Regional Planning Committees (RPCs) will hold two consecutive planning meetings on Wednesday, October 29, beginning at 1:00 p.m., at the Kalahari Resort, 1305 Kalahari Drive, Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin.2 The meetings will be held in conjunction with the Wisconsin-National Emergency Numbering Association (WI-NENA) Fall Conference3 and will be located in Suites I and II of the conference center. The agenda for the 700 MHz meeting includes: § Review of the Region 45 700 MHz plan submitted for approval § Overview of the latest D block process The agenda for the 800 MHz meeting includes: § Overview of the current 800 MHz rebanding process § Other action items Both of the Region 45 Public Safety RPC meetings are open to the public. It is essential that public safety agencies in all areas of government, including state, municipality, county, and Native American Tribal, and non-governmental organizations eligible under Section 90.523 of the Commission’s rules, 47 C.F.R. § 90.523, be represented in order to ensure that each agency’s future spectrum needs are considered in the allocation process. Administrators who are not oriented in the communications field should delegate someone with this knowledge to attend, participate, and represent their agency’s needs. All interested parties wishing to participate in planning for the use of public safety spectrum in the 700 MHz and 800 MHz bands within Region 45 should plan to attend.
