Washington, D.C. 20554 DA 08-2424 October 30, 2008 PUBLIC SAFETY AND HOMELAND SECURITY BUREAU ANNOUNCES REGION 35 (OREGON) PUBLIC SAFETY REGIONAL PLANNING COMMITTEE TO HOLD 700 MHZ REGIONAL PUBLIC SAFETY PLANNING MEETING The Region 35 (Oregon) Public Safety Regional Planning Committee (RPC) will hold its next meeting on Thursday, November 20, 2008, beginning at 10:00 a.m., at the Department of Public Safety Standards and Training, Hall of Heroes, 4190 Aumsville Highway SE, Salem, Oregon. The agenda for this meeting includes: § Nomination and election of officers § Approval of the 700 MHz Regional Planning Committee By-laws § Review the 700 MHz Plan § Discuss channel allocation § Computer Assisted Pre-coordination Resource and Database (CAPRAD) demonstration The Region 35 700 MHz Public Safety RPC meeting is open to the public. It is essential that public safety agencies in all areas of government, including state, municipality, county, and Native American Tribal, and non-governmental organizations eligible under Section 90.523 of the Commission’s rules, 47 C.F.R. § 90.523, be represented in order to ensure that each agency’s future spectrum needs are considered in the allocation process. Administrators who are not oriented in the communications field should delegate someone with this knowledge to attend, participate, and represent their agency’s needs. All interested parties wishing to participate in planning for the use of public safety spectrum in the 700 MHz band within Region 35 should plan to attend.
