Washington, D.C. 20554 DA 08-2769 December 22, 2008 PUBLIC SAFETY AND HOMELAND SECURITY BUREAU ANNOUNCES REGION 24 (MISSOURI) PUBLIC SAFETY REGIONAL PLANNING COMMITTEES TO HOLD 700 MHZ REGIONAL PUBLIC SAFETY PLANNING AND 800 MHZ NPSPAC REGIONAL PLANNING MEETINGS PR Docket No. 93-131 The Region 24 (Missouri) Public Safety Regional Planning Committees (RPC) will hold two consecutive planning meetings on Tuesday, January 13, 2009. Beginning at 10:00 a.m., the Region 24 800 MHz NPSPAC Public Safety RPC will convene at the St. Louis County Fire and Police Academy, 1266 Sutter Avenue, St. Louis, Missouri. The agenda for the 800 MHz meeting includes: § Welcome § Old Business o Approval of the November 20, 2008 meeting minutes § New Business o Discuss modification of Region 24 800 MHz Plan o Discuss status of 800 MHz rebanding in Missouri o Discuss availability of 800 MHz former Nextel channels between 854-860 MHz o Discuss Region 24 800 MHz channel repack to create new channel allotments Beginning at 12 noon, the 700 MHz Public Safety RPC meeting will convene at the same location. The agenda for the 700 MHz meeting includes: § Welcome § Old Business o Approval of the November 20, 2008 meeting minutes § New Business o Discuss FCC approval of Region 24 700 MHz Plan o Discuss merits of the RPC-based 700 MHz analog eligible low power channels o Discuss pending Region 24 700 MHz applications o Discuss other pending 700 MHz issues Both of the Region 24 Public Safety RPC meetings are open to the public.
