Washington, D.C. 20554 DA 08-302 Released: February 6, 2008 PUBLIC SAFETY AND HOMELAND SECURITY BUREAU INVITES COMMENTS ON REGION 3 (ARIZONA) 800 MHz NPSPAC REGIONAL REVIEW COMMITTEE PUBLIC SAFETY PLAN AMENDMENT PR DOCKET NO. 91-143 Comment Date: March 7, 2008 Reply Comment Date: March 24, 2008 On August 14, 2007, Region 3 800 MHz Arizona Regional Review Committee (ARRC) submitted a proposed amendment to its 800 MHz Regional Public Safety Plan for review and approval. The plan amendment includes the following proposed revisions: (1) change the nomenclature for the Common Calling and Tactical Interoperability Channels to match a plan developed by the Arizona Statewide Interoperability Executive Committee (SIEC), and (2) modify Appendix IV - Frequency Allocation List to eliminate reserved frequency pairs in non-metro areas of the state.1 The proposed plan amendment was reviewed by, and letters of concurrence obtained from, all five regions adjacent to Region 3: Region 6 (Northern California), Region 7 (Colorado), Region 27 (Nevada), Region 29 (New Mexico) and Region 41 (Utah). In accordance with the National Public Safety Plan, each region is responsible for planning its use of public safety radio frequency spectrum in the 821-824/866-869 MHz bands.2 The National Plan specifies special policies and procedures governing the Public Safety Pool.3 Regional plans must include an explanation of how the plan has been coordinated with adjacent regions. Parties interested in submitting reply comments must do so on or before March 24, 2008. All comments and reply comments should reference the subject plan amendment and PR Docket No. 91-143. Comments and reply comments may be filed by using (1) the Commission’s Electronic Comment Filing System (ECFS), (2) the Federal Government’s eRulemaking Portal, or (3) by filing paper copies.
