Washington, D.C. 20554 DA 08-396 February 15, 2008 PUBLIC SAFETY AND HOMELAND SECURITY BUREAU ACTION REGION 51 (TEXAS-HOUSTON) PUBLIC SAFETY REGIONAL PLANNING COMMITTEE TO HOLD 700 MHz PUBLIC SAFETY REGIONAL PLANNING COMMITTEE MEETING The Region 51 (Texas-Houston)1 700 MHz Public Safety Regional Planning Committee (RPC) will hold its next meeting on Tuesday, March 18, 2008, beginning at 9:30 a.m., at the Houston Airport System, 16930 JFK Boulevard, Houston, Texas. The agenda for this meeting includes: § Call to order (Chairman Douglas Frankhouser) § Introduction of attendees and completion/verification of attendee information sheet § Presentation of required changes to public safety 700 MHz frequencies § Discuss Region 51 700 MHz plan. A copy of the Region 51 draft plan may be found at http://www.region51.hctx.net/ § Discuss any regional issues, updates, meetings, grants, etc. § Discuss and act as required on any new business § Closing General 700 MHz information is available at the Commission’s Public Safety and Homeland Security public safety website at http://www.fcc.gov/pshs/spectrum/Welcome.html. The Region 51 Public Safety Regional Planning Committee meeting is open to the public. All eligible public safety providers whose sole or principal purpose is to protect the safety of life, health, or property in Region 51 may utilize these frequencies. It is essential that public safety agencies in all areas of government, including state, municipality, county, and Native American Tribal, and non-governmental organizations eligible under Section 90.523 of the Commission’s rules, be represented in order to ensure that each agency’s future spectrum needs are considered in the allocation process.
