On January 22, 2007, pursuant to the Commission’s exclusive jurisdiction over numbering resources1 and its obligation to protect public safety,2 the Wireline Competition Bureau (Bureau) assigned three toll free numbers to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)3 for a period of one year.4 Those numbers had previously been used by the Kristin Brooks Hope Center (KBHC), a private non-profit organization. Accordingly, IT IS ORDERED that, pursuant to sections 151 and 251(e) of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended, 47 U.S.C. §§ 151, 251(e), and authority delegated under sections 0.91 and 0.291 of the Commission’s rules, 47 C.F.R. §§ 0.91, 0.291,12 the temporary assignment of the three toll free numbers at issue IS EXTENDED to July 17, 2008.
