OF AMERICA TO L6-GLOBAL, LLC STREAMLINED PLEADING CYCLE ESTABLISHED WC Docket No. 08-57 Comments Due: May 9, 2008 Reply Comments Due: May 16, 2008 The following application was filed pursuant to section 63.03 of the Commission’s rules requesting approval for the transfer of control of Global Connection, Inc. of America (Global) to L6- Global, LLC (L6) (collectively, Applicants).1 Global, a Georgia corporation, is certified to provide resold competitive local exchange services in 31 states. It is also certified to provide interexchange service in 22 of the 31 states. Global primarily provides prepaid telecommunications services to residential customers in the AT&T nine-state southern region. Sam Abdallah, a U.S. citizen, owns 100 percent of Global. L6- Global, LLC, a Georgia investment corporation, does not provide telecommunications services. L6- Global Manager LLC, a Georgia limited liability company, is the managing member of L6. Applicants state that no entity directly or indirectly owns 10 percent or more of L6, and that L6 does not have any subsidiaries or affiliates that provide telecommunications services. Following the completion of the proposed transaction, Global will be owned by Sam Abdallah (20%) and L6 (80%). Applicants assert that the proposed transaction is entitled to presumptive streamlined treatment under section 63.03(b)(1)(ii) of the Commission’s rules and that a grant of the application will serve the public interest, convenience, and necessity.2 Application Filed for the Transfer of Control of Global Connection, Inc. of America to L6-Global, LLC, WC Docket No. 08-57 (filed Apr. 11, 2008). 1 47 C.F.R § 63.03; see 47 U.S.C. § 214. The Commission reserves the right to return any transfer of control application if, upon further examination, it is determined to be defective and not in conformance with the Commission’s rules and policies. Pursuant to section 63.03(a) of the Commission’s rules, 47 C.F.R. § 63.03(a), interested parties may file comments on or before May 9, 2008, and reply comments on or before May 16, 2008.
