Washington, D.C. 20554 DA 09-1867 August 25, 2009 PUBLIC SAFETY AND HOMELAND SECURITY BUREAU ANNOUNCES REGION 34 (OKLAHOMA) 700 MHZ PUBLIC SAFETY REGIONAL PLANNING COMMITTEE MEETING The Region 34 (Oklahoma) 700 MHz Public Safety Regional Planning Committee (RPC) will hold its next planning meeting on Thursday, September 17, 2009, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Oklahoma City Central Maintenance Training Facility, 3738 SW 15th Street, West Training Room, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The agenda for this meeting includes: § Review and approval of the Meeting Agenda for September 17, 2009 § Review and approval of the July 17, 2009 Meeting Minutes § Review Technical/Regulatory Subcommittee reports § Review current 700 MHz plan with solicited comments § Vote to approve Region 34 700 MHz plan for submission to adjacent regions § Old Business § New Business The Region 34 Public Safety RPC meeting is open to the public. All eligible public safety providers in Region 34 may utilize these frequencies. It is essential that eligible public safety agencies in all areas of government, including state, municipality, county, and Native American Tribal and non- governmental agencies eligible under Section 90.523 of the Commission’s rules, 47 C.F.R. § 90.523, be represented in order to ensure that each agency’s future spectrum needs are considered in the allocation process. Administrators who are not oriented in the communications field should delegate someone with this knowledge to attend, participate, and represent their agency’s needs. All interested parties wishing to participate in planning for the use of public safety spectrum in the 700 MHz band within Region 34 should plan to attend.
