Chairman Genachowski Names Two Members to the Board of Directors of the Universal Service 
Administrative Company
CC Docket Nos. 96-45, 97-21
On September 23, 2009, Chairman Julius Genachowski named two members to the Board of 
Directors of the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC).  In a public notice released on July 
21, 2009, the Wireline Competition Bureau solicited nominations to fill two vacancies on the USAC 
Board of Directors in accordance with the nomination and appointment procedures of section 54.703(c) of 
the Commission’s rules. 1 The nominations period closed on August 20, 2009.2
Chairman Genachowski named the following members to the USAC Board of Directors:
· Representative for Commercial Mobile Radio Service Providers:  Scott K. Bergmann, 
Assistant Vice President, Regulatory Affairs, CTIA – The Wireless Association®3
· Representative for Low-Income Consumers:  Ellis Jacobs, Senior Attorney, Advocates for 
Basic Legal Equality, Inc.4
The Bureau welcomes Mr. Bergmann and Mr. Jacobs to the USAC Board of Directors and looks 
forward to working with them.  We also remind interested parties that the USAC Board will hold its next
