On October 1, 2009, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, XM Radio Inc.'s request for special temporary authority, for a period of 60 days, to operate a terrestrial repeater with an Effective Isotropically Radiated Power of 2000 watts (average) at the Tropicana Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. XM Radio is authorized to operate this repeater in the 2332.5-2345 MHz frequency band, which is assigned for its exclusive use to provide Satellite Digital Audio Radio Service (SDARS). XM Radio has a pending request for special temporary authority to operate a repeater at this location for a period of 180 days. See SAT-STA-20090930-00102. INFORMATIVE S2103SAT-MOD-20070531-00076 ORBCOMM License Corp. The Bureau has determined that Orbcomm License Corp. has met the Contract Execution and Critical Design Review (CDR) milestones associated with this authorization (File No. SAT-MOD-20070531-00076). Consequently, Orbcomm may reduce the bond amount by 40% as provided in the Amendment of the Commission's Space Station Licensing Rules and Policies, First Report and Order and Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking.
