On October 7, 2009, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, Sirius XM Radio Inc.’s request for special temporary authority to operate six terrestrial repeaters for a period of 180 days with an effective isotropically radiated power (EIRP) of up to 2000 watts at specified locations throughout the United States. The repeaters will operate in the 2320-2345 MHz frequency band allocated exclusively to the use of the Satellite Digital Audio Radio Service (SDARS).
