Washington, D.C. 20554 News Media Information 202 / 418-0500 Internet: http://www.fcc.gov TTY: 1-888-835-5322 DA 09-2357 Released: November 2, 2009 WIRELINE COMPETITION BUREAU ANNOUNCES NEW DOCKET NUMBER FOR ALL FUTURE ELIGIBLE TELECOMMUNICATIONS CARRIER MATTERS WC Docket No. 09-197 In this public notice, the Wireline Competition Bureau announces that WC Docket No. 09-197 is the new docket number for all further filings, communications, and proceedings involving eligible telecommunications carriers (ETCs), as prescribed in section 214(e) of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended (the Act), and Part 54, Subpart C of the Commission’s rules.1 The new docket number shall be used for petitions for ETC designation,2 petitions for forbearance from section 214 of the Act or from the requirements of Part 54, Subpart C of the Commission’s rules,3 requests for redefinition of service areas,4 filings made in response to the ETC annual reporting requirements,5 and filings related to these matters. As of the date of this public notice, parties bringing matters before the Commission that pertain to these filings must file under the new docket number. The public may continue to access previously filed ETC matters under CC Docket No 96-45 in (1) ECFS, the Commission’s electronic filing system, or (2) EDOCs, the electronic database containing prior orders, public notices inviting comments and replies, or other matters posted by the Commission.
