We also ask interested parties to comment on whether the Commission should forbear from application of the equal access scripting requirement to CBT. Interested parties may file comments on or before December 21, 2009, and reply comments on or before January 8, 2010. All pleadings should reference WC Docket No. 09-206. In its petition, CBT notes that AT&T, Verizon, and Qwest, as well as their ILEC affiliates have been granted relief from the equal access scripting requirement. Id. at 1. 2 This requirement was created pursuant to the Modification of Final Judgment (“MFJ”) applicable to the Bell Operating Companies, subsequently expanded to apply to the remaining carriers, and preserved by section 251(g) of the 1996 Telecommunications Act, 47 U.S.C. § 253(g).
