Washington, D.C. 20554 News Media Information 202 / 418-0500 Internet: http://www.fcc.gov TTY: 1-888-835-5322 DA 09-589 March 17, 2009 FCC Releases Dates on Which Stations Intend to Terminate Analog Television Service On March 13, 2009, the Commission released its Third Report and Order in response to the Congressional extension of the digital television (DTV) transition deadline from February 17, 2009 to June 12, 2009.1 In that Report and Order, the Commission required that all full-power television stations that had not terminated their analog service as of February 17, 2009, notify the Commission of the date by which they intend to terminate analog service. Such notifications were required to be made via the Commission’s Informal Filing Form no later than 5:30 PM Eastern Daylight Time on March 17, 2009.2 As of the close of this filing deadline, 927 stations notified the Commission that they will continue to provide regular analog television broadcast programming to viewers until the end of the transition on June 12. These stations are listed in the attached Appendix A.
