Washington, D.C. 20554 News Media Information 202 / 418-0500 Internet: http://www.fcc.gov TTY: 1-888-835-5322 DA 09-642 Released: March 19, 2009 UNIVERSAL LICENSING SYSTEM REFLECTS 700 MHz LICENSE TERMS AND CONSTRUCTION DEADLINES EXTENDED BY DTV DELAY ACT The “DTV Delay Act,”1 which was enacted into law on February 11, 2009, extended the DTV transition deadline and provided that the Commission “extend the terms of the licenses for the recovered spectrum, including the license period and construction requirements associated with those licenses, for a 116-day period.”2 On February 20, 2009, the Commission extended by 116 days, 700 MHz license terms and associated construction deadlines by modifying its rules pursuant to the DTV Delay Act.3 Affected licensees may immediately view and print reference copies of their revised authorizations in the Universal Licensing System (ULS) by using “License Search,” or they may request that copies of their revised authorizations be mailed to them by accessing ULS at http://wireless.fcc.gov/uls/index.htm?job=home, and taking the following steps: · In the Online Filing box, select “Log In.” · At the Log In page, enter the applicable FCC Registration Number (FRN) and password. · In the left column of the License Manager page, select “My Licenses,” then select “Request Duplicates.” ULS will provide a list of the licensee’s authorizations. · Select all call signs for which the licensee is requesting a revised license. · Complete, sign and submit the application(s). Licensees will receive a file number for each authorization selected.
