Washington, D.C. 20554 DA 09-882 April 21, 2009 PUBLIC SAFETY AND HOMELAND SECURITY BUREAU ANNOUNCES REGION 45 (WISCONSIN) PUBLIC SAFETY REGIONAL PLANNING COMMITTEES TO HOLD 700 MHZ REGIONAL PUBLIC SAFETY PLANNING AND 800 MHZ NPSPAC REGIONAL PUBLIC SAFETY PLANNING MEETINGS PR Docket 92-273 The Region 45 (Wisconsin)1 Public Safety Regional Planning Committees (RPCs) will hold two consecutive planning meetings on Thursday, May 21, 2009, beginning at 10:00 a.m., at the Sheboygan Police Department, 1315 North 23rd Street, Sheboygan, Wisconsin.2 The agenda for the 700 MHz meeting includes: § Review of the recent National Regional Planning Council (NRPC) meeting § Status of the D block process § Other action items The agenda for the 800 MHz meeting includes: § Update of modifications to the Region 45 Plan § Status report of the 800 MHz rebanding process § Other action items Both of the Region 45 Public Safety RPC meetings are open to the public. It is essential that public safety agencies in all areas of government, including state, municipality, county, and Native American Tribal, and non-governmental organizations eligible under Section 90.523 of the Commission’s rules, 47 C.F.R. § 90.523, be represented in order to ensure that each agency’s future spectrum needs are considered in the allocation process. Administrators who are not oriented in the communications field should delegate someone with this knowledge to attend, participate, and represent their agency’s needs. All interested parties wishing to participate in planning for the use of public safety spectrum in the 700 MHz and 800 MHz bands within Region 45 should plan to attend.
