Washington, D.C. 20554 DA 10-1059 June 11, 2010 PUBLIC SAFETY AND HOMELAND SECURITY BUREAU ANNOUNCES REGION 51 (TEXAS-HOUSTON) PUBLIC SAFETY REGIONAL PLANNING COMMITTEES TO HOLD JOINT 700 MHZ AND 800 MHZ NPSPAC MEETING PR Docket No. 91-199 The Region 51 (Texas-Houston)1 700 MHz and 800 MHz NPSPAC Public Safety Regional Planning Committee (RPCs) will hold a joint meeting on Wednesday, July 7, 2010, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the Houston Airport System, 16930 JFK Boulevard, Houston, Texas. The 700 MHz and 800 MHz combined agenda includes: § Call to Order (Chairman Douglas Frankhouser) § Introduction of attendees and completion/verification of attendee information sheet § Houston Independent School District - HISD 800 MHz license application o Presentation o Recommendation by frequency review committee (John Chaney) o Discussion/vote § Port Neches 800 MHz license application o Presentation o Recommendation by frequency review committee (John Chaney) o Discussion/vote § Discussion of regional projects underway or planned § Discussion of regional issues, updates, meetings, grants, etc. § Discussion of and act as required on any new business § Adjourn The Region 51 Public Safety Joint RPC meeting is open to the public. All eligible public safety providers in Region 51 may utilize these frequencies. It is essential that eligible public safety agencies in all areas of government, including state, municipality, county, and Native American Tribal be represented in order to ensure that each agency’s future spectrum needs are considered in the allocation process. Administrators who are not oriented in the communications field should delegate someone with this knowledge to attend, participate, and represent their agency’s needs. 1 The Region 51 (Texas-Houston) area includes the City of Houston and the counties of Shelby, Nacogdoches, San Augustine, Sabine, Houston, Trinity, Angelina, Walker, San Jacinto, Polk, Tyler, Jasper, Newton, Montgomery, Liberty, Hardin, Orange, Waller, Harris, Chambers, Jefferson, Galveston, Brazoria, Fort Bend, Austin, Colorado, Wharton and Matagorda.
