Washington, D.C. 20554 News Media Information 202 / 418-0500 Fax-On-Demand 202 / 418-2830 TTY 202 / 418-2555 Internet: http://www.fcc.gov ftp.fcc.gov DA 10-1091 Released: June 18, 2010 PUBLIC SAFETY AND HOMELAND SECURITY BUREAU SEEKS COMMENT ON THE PUBLIC SAFETY SPECTRUM TRUST’S PROPOSED BUDGET AND ADMINISTRATIVE FEES FOR THE 700 MHZ PUBLIC SAFETY BROADBAND WAIVER RECIPIENTS PS Docket No. 06-229 Comment Date: July 9, 2010 On May 12, 2010, the Commission released an Order granting conditional waiver to twenty-one petitioners seeking authority for early deployment of state, local or regional public safety broadband wireless networks in the 700 MHz band (Waiver Order).1 Pursuant to the Waiver Order, the Commission authorized the Public Safety Spectrum Trust (PSST) to enter into a long term de facto lease with each waiver recipient, but required the PSST to submit a budget, within 30 days, specifying the proposed administrative fees necessary to support lease administration, including how such fees would be structured, collected, and expended.2 On June 11, 2010, the PSST submitted its budget in response to the Waiver Order.3 By this Public Notice, the Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau (Bureau) seeks public comment on the proposed budget of the Public Safety Spectrum Trust and corresponding annual lease fee for administration of the leases authorized by the Waiver Order.4 We seek comment generally on the budget and Lease Administrative Fees proposed by the PSST. All comments should reference PS Docket No. 06-229. Comments may be submitted using (1) the Commission’s Electronic Comment Filing System (ECFS), (2) the Federal Government’s eRulemaking Portal, or (3) by filing paper copies.5 Comments can be filed through the Commission’s ECFS filing interface located at the following Internet address: http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/ecfs/. Comments can also be filed via the Federal eRulemaking Portal: http://www.regulations.gov.6 In completing the transmittal screen, commenters should include their full name, U.S. Postal Service mailing address, and the applicable docket or rulemaking number.
