On July 7, 2010, the Satellite Division granted special temporary authority to XM Radio Inc. for a period of 180 days to continue to operate a satellite digital audio radio service (SDARS) terrestrial repeater with an Effective Isotropically Radiated Power (EIRP) of up to 2000 watts (average) in Las Vegas, Nevada. This repeater will operate in the 2332.5-2345 MHz frequency band allocated exclusively to the use of SDARS. Accordingly, Intelsat is authorized to conduct Telemetry, Tracking, and Command operations with the Intelsat 709 space station at the 54.85º E.L. orbital location using the following frequencies: 6173.7 MHz and 6176.3 MHz (left-hand circular polarization/Earth-to-space); 3947.5 MHz, 3948.0 MHz , 3952.5 MHz, and 3952.0 MHz (right-hand circular polarization/space-to-Earth).
