PUBLIC NOTICE Federal Communications Commission 445 12th St., S.W. Washington, D.C. 20554 News Media Information 202 / 418-0500 Internet: http://www.fcc.gov TTY: 1-888-835-5322 DA 10-1469 Released: August 9, 2010 COMMENT SOUGHT ON AT&T PETITION FOR RECONSIDERATION WCB/Pricing File No 10-03 COMMENTS DUE: September 8, 2010 REPLY COMMENTS DUE: September 23, 2010 On July 30, 2010, AT&T Corp. (AT&T) filed a petition for reconsideration of the action taken by the Pricing Policy Division rejecting AT&T’s petition to suspend for one day, investigate and issue an accounting order for the July 1, 2010 interstate access tariff filing by Minnesota Independent Equal Access Corporation (MIEAC). 1 AT&T argues that MIEAC’s $1.3 million increase in uncollectible expenses “are actually disputed amounts with a single MIEAC customer . . . that MIEAC does anticipate collecting. . . .”2 AT&T further contends that the $2.1 million increase in corporate expenses is improper because MIEAC admits that a large portion of the increase are legal fees in connection with its lawsuit, which MIEAC has requested the court to require the interexchange carrier to pay.3 AT&T states that “if MIEAC is allowed to also collect those amounts from ratepayers, it will double recover those amounts as well.” 4 Interested parties may file comments on or before September 8, 2010, and reply comments on or before September 23, 2010.
