Washington, D.C. 20554 DA 10-1887 September 30, 2010 PUBLIC SAFETY AND HOMELAND SECURITY BUREAU ANNOUNCES REGION 37 (SOUTH CAROLINA) PUBLIC SAFETY REGIONAL PLANNING COMMITTEES TO HOLD 700 MHZ AND 800 MHZ NPSPAC MEETINGS PR Docket No. 93-78 The Region 37 (South Carolina)1 Public Safety Regional Planning Committee (RPCS) will hold two planning meetings on Wednesday, October 27, 2010, beginning at 9:00 a.m., at the APCO/NENA Conference at the Hilton Hotel, 10000 Beach Club Drive, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The agenda for the 800 MHz meeting includes: · Charleston County ITAC-1 solution · Greenwood request for four conventional channels · Assignment of channel for the Department of Health and Environmental Control agency · Rebanding status · Review of 700 MHz conventional plan as part of rebanding Immediately following the 800 MHz Public Safety RPC meeting, the 700 MHz Public Safety RPC meeting will convene at the same location. The agenda for the 700 MHz meeting includes: · Discussion of plan status · Digital Vehicular Repeater System (DVRS) Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) · Recommended conventional channels and interoperability channels Both Region 37 700 and 800 MHz Public Safety RPC meetings are open to the public. All eligible public safety providers in Region 37 may utilize these frequencies. It is essential that eligible public safety agencies in all areas of government, including state, municipality, county, and Native American Tribal be represented in order to ensure that each agency’s future spectrum needs are considered in the allocation process.
