Washington, D.C. 20554 DA 10-2130 November 4, 2010 PUBLIC SAFETY AND HOMELAND SECURITY BUREAU ANNOUNCES REGION 35 (OREGON) PUBLIC SAFETY REGIONAL PLANNING COMMITTEES TO HOLD 700 MHZ AND 800 MHZ NPSPAC MEETINGS The Region 35 (Oregon)1 Public Safety Regional Planning Committees (RPCs) will hold two planning meetings on Wednesday, November 24, 2010, from 10:00 a.m. until 12 noon at the Washington County Consolidated Communications Agency, Lower Training Room, 17911 N.W. Evergreen Parkway, Beaverton, Oregon. The agenda for the 700 MHz meeting includes: § Opening introductions and facility logistics § Approval of meeting minutes § Discussion of 700 MHz LTE broadband issues Immediately following the 700 MHz Public Safety RPC meeting, the 800 MHz Public Safety RPC meeting will convene at the same location. The agenda for the 800 MHz meeting includes: § Opening introductions § Region 35 800 MHz Regional Planning Committee o General information updates o Accessing frequency allocation through CAPRAD o Updates to 800 MHz rebanding § New Business o Application review: Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) application § Election o Chair o Vice Chair o Secretary Both Region 35 700 and 800 MHz Public Safety RPC meetings are open to the public. All eligible public safety providers in Region 35 may utilize these frequencies. It is essential that eligible public safety agencies in all areas of government, including state, municipality, county, and Native American Tribal be represented in order to ensure that each agency’s future spectrum needs are considered in the allocation process.
