Washington, D.C. 20554 DA 10-2229 November 23, 2010 PUBLIC SAFETY AND HOMELAND SECURITY BUREAU ANNOUNCES REGION 13 (ILLINOIS) PUBLIC SAFETY REGIONAL PLANNING COMMITTEES TO RESCHEDULE 700 MHZ AND 800 MHZ NPSPAC REGIONAL PLANNING COMMITTEE MEETINGS PR Docket No. 91-228 The Region 13 (Illinois)1 Public Safety Regional Planning Committees (RPCs) announce that the 700 MHz and 800 MHz Regional Public Safety planning meetings scheduled for Wednesday, November 17, 2010, at the Illinois State Police Headquarters, 801 South 7th Street, Springfield, Illinois, have been cancelled. The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 2011, beginning at 10 a.m., at the Illinois State University, 100 North University Street, Normal, Illinois. The purpose of the meeting is to review any pending 700 MHz and 800 MHz applications, update implementation of the approved 700 MHz plan, schedule 2011 meeting locations, and to address any outstanding issues. The Region 13 Public Safety RPC meeting is open to the public. All eligible public safety providers in Region 13 may utilize these frequencies. It is essential that eligible public safety agencies in all areas of government, including state, municipality, county, and Native American Tribal, be represented in order to ensure that each agency’s future spectrum needs are considered in the allocation process. Administrators who are not oriented in the communications field should delegate someone with this knowledge to attend, participate, and represent their agency’s needs. All interested parties wishing to participate in the planning for the use of public safety spectrum in the 700 MHz and 800 MHz bands within Region 13 should plan to attend.
