Washington, DC 20008-3006 Re: Call Sign KA268 File No. SES-MFS-20100910-01153 Dear Ms. Crandall: On September 10, 2010, Intelsat North America LLC (Intelsat North America) filed the above- captioned modification application to add ALSAT-designated satellites as points of communication and to add new emission designators to carriers to the license for earth station KA268 that will operate in the conventional C-band frequencies1. For reason discussed below, we dismiss the application as defective, without prejudice to refiling.2 Section 25.112 of the Commission's rules, 47 C.F.R. § 25.112, requires the Commission to return, as unacceptable for filing, any earth station application that is not substantially complete, that contains internal inconsistencies, or that does not substantially comply with the Commission's rules. Intelsat North America did not submit the Frequency Coordination and Interference Analysis Report for new emission designators 256KG7W, 36M0G7W, and 72M0G7W as required by Section 25.203(c) of the Commission’s rules, 47 C.F.R. §25.203(c). Therefore, the application is incomplete and subject to dismissal. Accordingly, pursuant to Section 25.112(a)(1) of the Commission’s rules, 47 C.F.R. §25.112(a)(1), and Section 0.261 of the Commission’s rules on delegations of authority, 47 C.F.R. §0.261, we dismiss Intelsat North America’s application without prejudice to refiling. Sincerely, Paul E.
