On December 9, 2010, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, special temporary authority to Sirius XM Radio Inc., for a period of 180 days, to operate two Satellite Digital Audio Radio Service (SDARS) terrestrial repeaters with an equivalent isotropically radiated power up to 12,000 watts (average) in Falls Church, Virginia. These repeaters will operate in the 2320-2345 MHz frequency band allocated exclusively to the use of SDARS. S2358SAT-STA-20101025-00224 E Effective Date: 12/03/2010Grant of Authority Special Temporary Authority LightSquared Subsidiary LLC On December 3, 2010, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, special temporary authority to LightSquared Subsidiary LLC, for a period of 30 days, to conduct in-orbit testing of the SkyTerra-1 space station at the 101.3º W.L. orbital location in the 1525-1544/1545-1559 MHz, 10.7-10.95 GHz, and 11.2-11.45 GHz bands (space-to-Earth) and 1626.5-1645.5/1646.5-1660.5 MHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands. For purposes of this temporary authorization, the Satellite Division waived the power flux density limits in Section 25.208(b) of the Commission's rules. S2459SAT-STA-20101115-00236 E Effective Date: 12/09/2010Grant of Authority Special Temporary Authority PanAmSat Licensee Corp. On December 9, 2010, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, special temporary authority to PanAmSat Licensee Corp. for a period of 30 days to continue to conduct telemetry, tracking, and telecommand operations necessary to drift Intelsat 2 from 157.0° E.L. to 174.0° E.L. using the following frequencies: 6424.5 MHz (H) and 5925.5 MHz (H) (Earth-to-space), and 4198.5 MHz (H, V) and 4199.5 MHz (H, V) (space-to-Earth). PanAmSat is also authorized to operate Intelsat 2 temporarily in the C- and Ku-bands at 174.0° E.L. at 174.0° E.L. using the following frequencies: 3700-4200 MHz (space-to-Earth), 5925-6425 MHz (Earth-to-space), 12250-12750 MHz (space-to-Earth), and 14000-14500 MHz (Earth-to-space). On December 9, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, special temporary authority to XM Radio, Inc., for a period of up to 30 days, to continue to perform in-orbit testing of the XM-5 space station at the 80º W.L. orbital location. XM Radio is authorized to conduct telemetry, tracking and telecommand operations to maintain XM-5 at the 80º W.L. orbital location using the 7056.8450-7074.8690 MHz frequency band (Earth-to-space). Additionally, XM Radio is authorized to perform telemetry, tracking and telecommand operations to drift XM-5 to the 80° W.L. orbital once the space station is in orbit, to support XM-5's operations while it is being tested at the 80° W.L. orbital location, and to drift XM-5 to its authorized orbital location of 85.2° W.L upon completion of in-orbit testing, using the following frequencies: 2336.7 MHz, 2337.2 MHz, 2334.0 MHz, or 2342.5 MHz (space-to-Earth, Right Hand Circular Polarization), and 7043.0 MHz and 7074 MHz (Left Hand Circular Polarization).
