Washington, D.C. 20554 News Media Information 202 / 418-0500 Internet: http://www.fcc.gov TTY: 1-888-835-5322 DA 10-2334 Release Date: December 9, 2010 WIRELINE COMPETITION BUREAU SEEKS COMMENT ON MICHIGAN PUBLIC HEALTH INSTITUTE PETITION FOR WAIVER OF THE FIVE-YEAR INVOICING PERIOD UNDER THE RURAL HEALTH CARE PILOT PROGRAM WC Docket No. 02-60 Comment Date: January 10, 2011 Reply Comment Date: January 24, 2011 The Wireline Competition Bureau (Bureau) seeks comment on a request filed by the Michigan Public Health Institute (MPHI) for a waiver of Paragraph 94 of the 2007 Pilot Program Selection Order.1 Pursuant to the 2007 Pilot Program Selection Order, participants in the Rural Health Care Pilot Program (Pilot Program) have five years from the date of their initial funding commitment letter to complete network buildout and submit invoices to USAC for reimbursement.2 MPHI seeks an additional fifteen months to complete its invoicing process, until December 2015.3 Alternatively, MPHI requests that the Bureau waive the five-year invoicing period for all Pilot Program participants and allow them five years from the date of each funding commitment letter received to submit invoices to USAC.4 Interested parties may file comments on or before January 10, 2011 and reply comments on or before January 24, 2011.
