S2396SAT-STA-20100111-00006 E Effective Date: 02/12/2010Grant of Authority Special Temporary Authority Intelsat North America LLC On February 12, 2010, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, the request of Intelsat North America LLC for special temporary authority for a period of 60 days in order to drift its C- and Ku-band space station, Intelsat 709 (Call Sign S2396) to - and to operate the Intelsat 709 space station at - the 54.85 º E.L. orbital location. Accordingly, Intelsat is authorized, for a period of 60 days commencing on February 15, 2010, to conduct Telemetry, Tracking, and Command operations with the Intelsat 709 space station to effect the drift of the Intelsat 709 space station from the 85.15º E.L. orbital location to the 54.85º E.L. orbital location using the following frequencies: 6173.7 MHz and 6176.3 MHz (left-hand circular polarization/Earth-to-space); 3947.5 MHz, 3948.0 MHz , 3952.5 MHz, and 3952.0 MHz (right-hand circular polarization/space-to-Earth). Additionally, Intelsat is authorized to operate the Intelsat 709 space station in the 3700-4200 MHz (space-to-Earth), 5925-6425 MHz (Earth-to-space), 10950-11200 MHz (space-to-Earth), 11450-11700 MHz (space-to-Earth), 12500-12750 MHz (space-to-Earth), and 14000-14500 MHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands to provide fixed-satellite service (FSS) from the 54.85º E.L. orbital location once it arrives at that location. S2232SAT-STA-20100203-00020 E Effective Date: 02/12/2010Granted in Part/ Deferred in Part Special Temporary Authority EchoStar Corporation Nature of Service: Direct Broadcast Satellite Service On February 12, 2010, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, the request of EchoStar Corporation for a 60-day special temporary authority, commencing on February 15, 2010, to conduct Telemetry, Tracking, and Telecommand (TT&C) operations necessary to drift the EchoStar 6 space station to the 61.65° W.L. orbital location. EchoStar is authorized to use the 14,002.5 MHz and 17,305 MHz frequencies for telecommand and the 12,203 and 12,204 MHz frequencies for telemetry during these operations. We defer action on EchoStar's request to operate EchoStar 6 at the 61.65° W.L. orbital location temporarily as an in-orbit spare.
