PUBLIC SAFETY AND HOMELAND SECURITY BUREAU ANNOUNCES
REGION 6 (NORTHERN CALIFORNIA) 800 MHZ NPSPAC PUBLIC SAFETY REGIONAL 
PLANNING COMMITTEE TO HOLD MEETING

The Region 6 (Northern California)1 800 MHz NPSPAC Public Safety Regional Planning 
Committee (RPC) will hold its next meeting on Tuesday, August 23, 2011, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., 
at the Cordelia Fire Department, Station One, 2155 Cordelia Road, Fairfield, California.  
The agenda for this meeting includes:
§ Elect Chairman, replacing former Chair Art McDole (deceased)
§ Elect Vice-Chairman
§ Elect Secretary
§ Discuss and elect members of the Committee representing a broad background of disciplines 
as currently reflected in the Region 6 Plan
§ Discuss and offer revisions to various segments of the current Region 6 Plan, based upon 
experience, technology changes, and to incorporate text clarifications as necessary
§ Other topics
The Region 6 800 MHz meeting is open to the public. All eligible public safety providers in 
Region 6 may utilize these frequencies.  It is essential that eligible public safety agencies in all areas of 
government, including state, municipality, county, and Native American Tribal be represented in order to 
ensure that each agency’s future spectrum needs are considered in the allocation process.  Administrators 
who are not oriented in the communications field should delegate someone with this knowledge to attend, 
participate, and represent their agency’s needs.
All interested parties wishing to participate in planning for the use of public safety spectrum in 
the 800 MHz band within Region 6 should plan to attend.  For further information, please contact:

borders of San Luis Obispo, Kern, and San Bernardino counties.
