Warren C. Havens and related parties (Petitioners) seek reconsideration of the dismissal of their petition to deny the above-captioned assignment application.1 The petition to deny was dismissed as moot after the proposed assignor withdrew the application.2 Petitioners believe that the matter is not moot because they raised broader issues in their pleadings. We disagree. Petitioners have received all the relief that they can with respect to the above-captioned application. Because we are under no obligation to resolve unnecessary issues, we conclude that the petition to deny was properly dismissed as moot.3 2. Accordingly, IT IS ORDERED pursuant to Sections 4(i) and 405 of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended, 47 U.S.C. §§ 154(i) and 405(a), and Section 1.106 of the Commission's Rules, 47 C.F.R. § 1.106, that the Petition for Reconsideration filed by Warren C. See paragraph 2, infra, regarding the related parties. 2 Maritime Communications/Land Mobile, LLC (MC/LM) filed the above-captioned application to assign part of the license for Station WQGF315 to Carolina Power & Light Company d/b/a Progress Energy Carolinas, Inc. (Progress) on April 20, 2011. On May 11, 2011, Petitioners filed a petition to deny the application. On May 16, 2011, MC/LM filed an application to withdraw the application. On May 25, 2011, Progress requested that the petition to deny be dismissed as moot. The withdrawal application was granted, and the petition to deny was dismissed, on May 26, 2011. On June 7, 2011, Petitioners filed a reply to the Progress request that the petition to deny be dismissed. On June 27, 2011, Petitioners requested reconsideration of the dismissal.
