Green (Estate), the current shareholder of La Ward Telephone Exchange, Inc. (LTE), and Sandra Green (together, Applicants) filed an application pursuant to section 63.03 of the Commission’s rules1 to transfer control of LTE from the Estate to Mrs. Green. LTE, a Texas corporation, is a rural incumbent local exchange carrier serving approximately 828 access lines in three exchanges in southern Texas: La Ward, Lolita, and Port Alto. Mrs. Green’s husband, Kenneth L. Green, was the sole shareholder of LTE. Upon Mr. Green’s death, his interest in LTE became part of his estate. Mrs. Green, a U.S. citizen, is the executor of the Estate. Applicants state that the proposed transaction will be accomplished by the distribution of 100 percent of the shares of LTE’s common stock from the Estate to Sandra Green (60 percent), and her daughters, Terri Green Parker (20 percent) and Nelda Green Putnam (20 percent), both U.S. citizens. Applicants further state that the transferees do not hold ownership interests in any other telecommunications carrier. Applicants assert that the proposed transaction is entitled to presumptive streamlined treatment under section 63.03(b)(1)(ii).2 Domestic Section 214 Application Filed for the Transfer of Control of La Ward Telephone Exchange, Inc., WC Docket No. 11-174 (filed Oct. 18, 2011). GENERAL INFORMATION The transfer of control identified herein has been found, upon initial review, to be acceptable for filing as a streamlined application. Applicants are also filing applications for transfer of control associated with authorization for wireless services. Pursuant to section 63.03(a) of the Commission’s rules, 47 CFR § 63.03(a), interested parties may file comments on or before November 4, 2011, and reply comments on or before November 14, 2011.
