S2396SAT-MOD-20091106-00117 E Effective Date: 02/11/2011Grant of Authority 02/10/2011 - 07/18/2016Modification Intelsat License LLC Nature of Service: Fixed Satellite Service On February 11, 2010, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, the application of Intelsat License LLC (formerly Intelsat North America LLC) to modify its authority in order to operate its C- and Ku-band space station, Intelsat 709, at the 54.85º E.L. orbital location, rather than at the 85.15º E.L. orbital location to which it had been previously assigned. Accordingly, Intelsat is authorized to operate the Intelsat 709 space station in the 3700-4200 MHz (space-to-Earth), 5925-6425 MHz (Earth-to-space), 10.95-11.20 GHz (space-to-Earth), 11.45-11.70 GHz (space-to-Earth), 12.50-12.75 GHz (space-to-Earth), and 14.0-14.5 GHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands to provide fixed-satellite service from the 54.85º E.L. orbital location. Additionally, Intelsat is authorized to conduct telemetry, tracking, and telecommand operations with the Intelsat 709 space station at the 54.85º E.L. orbital location using the following frequencies: 6173.7 MHz and 6176.3 MHz (left-hand circular polarization/Earth-to-space); and 3947.5 MHz, 3948.0 MHz , 3952.5 MHz, and 3952.0 MHz (right-hand circular polarization/space-to-Earth). S2232SAT-STA-20110207-00026 E Effective Date: 02/11/2011Grant of Authority Special Temporary Authority EchoStar Corporation Nature of Service: Direct Broadcast Satellite Service On February 11, 2011, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, the application of EchoStar Corporation for special temporary authority, for a period of 30 days, to operate the EchoStar 6 space station at the 76.95° W.L. orbital location on Direct Broadcast Satellite channels 1-32. EchoStar is authorized to operate EchoStar 6 at 76.95° W.L. with feeder links (Earth-to-space) in the 17.3-17.8 GHz band and service links (space-to-Earth) in the 12.2-12.7 GHz band. EchoStar is also authorized to conduct on-station telemetry, tracking, and telecommand operations for EchoStar 6 at 76.95° W.L. with command links at 17.305 GHz (Earth-to-space) and telemetry and beacon links at 12.203 GHz and 12.204 GHz (space-to-Earth). INFORMATIVE S2358SAT-LOA-19980702-00066 LightSquared Subsidiary LLC On February 17, 2011, the Bureau determined that LightSquared Subsidiary LLC met the launch and operation milestone associated with the authorization for the SkyTerra-1 satellite at the 101.3º W.L. orbital location. See also SAT-MOD-20100405-00064 and SAT-MOD-20101118-00239. The Bureau previously found that LightSquared Subsidiary LLC had met the first three milestones.
