Re: Vacancies on the USAC Board of Directors
Dear Chairman Talbott:
On September 27, 2010, the Wireline Competition Bureau issued a public notice 
soliciting nominations to fill vacancies on the Board of Directors of the Universal Service 
Administrative Company (USAC).1 There are currently seven vacancies on the USAC Board 
due to the expiration of Board members’ terms.2 The Commission received a single nomination 
for six of the seven vacancies, as listed in the attached Appendix.  The Commission did not 
receive a nomination for a seventh vacancy dedicated to a representative for interexchange 
carriers with more than $3 billion in annual operating revenues.
Pursuant to section 54.703(c)(3) of the Commission’s rules,3 Chairman Julius 
Genachowski appoints the following members to serve on the USAC Board of Directors:
(1) Representative for commercial mobile radio service providers: 
Scott Bergmann, Assistant Vice President for Regulatory Affairs, CTIA
(2) Representative for schools that are eligible to receive discounts:
Anne Bryant, Executive Director, National School Boards Association
(3) Representative for libraries that are eligible to receive discounts:
Anne Campbell, Consultant, ALC Consulting
