Washington, D.C. 20554 News Media Information 202 / 418-0500 Internet: http://www.fcc.gov TTY: 1-888-835-5322 DA 11-604 Release Date: April 4, 2011 WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS BUREAU ANNOUNCES DEADLINES FOR COMMENTS ON SPECTRUM OVER TRIBAL LANDS NOTICE OF PROPOSED RULEMAKING WTB Docket No. 11-40 Comment Date: May 19, 2011 Reply Comment Date: June 20, 2011 On March 3, 2011, the Commission released a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) seeking comment on a range of specific proposals and issues concerning the promotion of the greater use of communications spectrum over Tribal lands.1 The Commission set the comment and reply comment deadlines for the NPRM as 45 and 75 days, respectively, after publication of the summary of the NPRM in the Federal Register.2 On April 4, 2011, a summary of the NPRM appeared in the Federal Register.3 Accordingly, interested parties may file comments on or before May 19, 2011 and reply comments on or before June 20, 2011. All pleadings are to reference WTB Docket No. 11-40. Comments may be filed using: (1) the Commission’s Electronic Comment Filing System (ECFS), (2) the Federal Government’s eRulemaking Portal, or (3) by filing paper copies.4 § Electronic Filers: Comments may be filed electronically using the Internet by accessing the ECFS: http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/ecfs/ or the Federal eRulemaking Portal: http://www.regulations.gov.
