CHAIRMAN GENACHOWSKI NAMES MEMBER TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE 
UNIVERSAL SERVICE ADMINISTRATIVE COMPANY

On April 11, 2011, Chairman Julius Genachowski named one member to the Board of Directors 
of the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC).  In a public notice released on March 22, 
2011, the Wireline Competition Bureau solicited nominations to fill vacancies on the USAC Board of 
Directors in accordance with the nomination and appointment procedures of section 54.703(c) of the 
Commission’s rules. 1 The nominations period closed on April 5, 2011.2  This member is selected as the 
successor to Commissioner Ann Boyle, who resigned her seat on the USAC Board effective February 11, 
2011.3
Chairman Genachowski named the following member to the USAC Board of Directors:
· Representative for state telecommunications regulators: Hon. Randy Mitchell, Commissioner, 
Public Service Commission of South Carolina
The Bureau reminds interested parties that the USAC Board will hold its next meeting on April 
27, 2011, at USAC’s Washington, DC office (2000 L Street NW, Suite 200, Washington, DC 20036).4  
All Board of Directors quarterly meetings are open to the public.5
