Launch and Operating Authority
EchoStar Satellite Operating Corporation
Nature of Service: Direct Broadcast Satellite Service
On June 22, 2012, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, the application of EchoStar Satellite Operating Corporation for authority to
construct, launch, and operate a Direct Broadcast Satellite service space station, EchoStar 16, at the 61.5º W.L. orbital location on DBS channels
3-32.  EchoStar is authorized to construct and launch EchoStar 16 with the capability of operating on DBS channels 1 and 2, but did not seek and
is not granted authority to operate on DBS channels 1 and 2 pursuant to this authorization.  EchoStar is authorized to operate the EchoStar 16
space station using feeder links in the 17.3-17.8 GHz band (Earth-to-space) and service links in the 12.2-12.7 GHz band (space-to-Earth).  In
addition, EchoStar 16 is authorized for launch, transfer orbit, and on-station tracking, telemetry and command communications using center
frequencies located at 17.307 GHz and 17.7955 GHz (Earth-to-space), and 12.694 GHz, 12.695 GHz, 12.6965 GHz, and 12.6975 GHz
(space-to-Earth).

SES Americom, Inc.
Nature of Service: Direct to Home Fixed Satellite, Fixed Satellite Service
On June 28, 2012 the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, the application of SES Americom, Inc. to modify the authorization for the
AMC-3 space station to specify operations at the 67º W.L. orbital location, rather than at 86.9º W.L.  SES Americom is authorized to provide
Fixed-Satellite Service, including direct-to-home services, in the 11.7-12.2 GHz (space-to-Earth) and 14.0-14.5 GHz (Earth-to-space) frequency
bands.  In addition, SES is authorized to conduct telemetry, tracking, and command operations necessary to maintain AMC-3 at 67º W.L. using
center frequencies located at  3700.5 MHz (space-to-Earth), 4199.5 MHz (space-to-Earth), 6423.5 MHz (Earth-to-space), and 12.198 GHz
(space-to-Earth).

services in the U.S. market in the 3700-4200 MHz (space-to-Earth), 5925-6425 MHz (Earth-to-space), 11.70-12.20 GHz (space-to-Earth), and
14.0-14.50 GHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands.
