COMMENT ON ESTABLISHING AND IMPLEMENTING A RECONFIGURED 800 MHZ 
CHANNEL PLAN ALONG THE U.S.-MEXICO BORDER

On August 17, 2012, the Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau released a Fourth Further 
Notice of Proposed Rulemaking in WT Docket No. 02-55 seeking comment on proposals for establishing 
and implementing a reconfigured 800 MHz channel plan along the U.S.-Mexico border.1 The Fourth
FNPRM set deadlines for filing comments and reply comments at 30 and 45 days after publication in the 
Federal Register.2
On August 30, 2012, the Office of the Federal Register published a summary of the Fourth 
FNPRM and associated comment and reply comment dates.3 Accordingly, comments must be filed on or 
before October 1, 2012; and reply comments must be filed on or before October 15, 2012.4 The Fourth 
FNPRM sets forth the comment filing instructions.
