DTC is a division of Tillotson Corporation, a Massachusetts corporation that is wholly owned by the Neil Tillotson Trust, a U.S. based entity. DTC is an incumbent local exchange carrier serving one exchange and 14 end user access lines in the Dixville township area of Coos County in New Hampshire. Balsams View, a New Hampshire limited liability company, does not currently provide any telecommunications services. Daniel Degesse and Daniel Hebert, Jr., both U.S. citizens, have equal membership interests in Balsams View. Pursuant to the terms of the proposed transaction, Balsams View will acquire all of the assets of DTC, and DTC will be a wholly owned subsidiary of Balsams View. Applicants assert that the proposed transaction is entitled to presumptive streamlined treatment under section 63.03(b)(1)(ii) of the Commission’s rules and that a grant of the application will serve the public interest, convenience, and necessity.2 Domestic Section 214 Application Filed for the Transfer of Control of Dixville Telephone Company to Balsams View, LLC, WC Docket No. 12-243 (filed Aug. 27, 2012). GENERAL INFORMATION The transfer of control identified herein has been found, upon initial review, to be acceptable for filing as a streamlined application. The Commission reserves the right to return any transfer application if, upon further examination, it is determined to be defective and not in conformance with the Commission’s rules and policies.
