Washington, D.C. 20554 DA 12-1633 October 12, 2012 PUBLIC SAFETY AND HOMELAND SECURITY BUREAU ANNOUNCES REGION 51 (TEXAS-HOUSTON) PUBLIC SAFETY REGIONAL PLANNING COMMITTEES TO HOLD 700 MHZ AND 800 MHZ MEETINGS PR Docket No. 91-199 The Region 51 (Texas-Houston)1 700 MHz and 800 MHz NPSPAC Public Safety Regional Planning Committees (RPCs) will convene a joint meeting on Wednesday, October 24, 2012, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., at the Houston Airport System, 16930 JFK Boulevard, Houston, Texas. The 700 MHz and 800 MHz combined agenda includes: § Call to Order (Chairman Douglas Frankhouser) § Introduction of attendees § Regional Review Requests o Presentation o Recommendation by frequency review committee (John Chaney) o Discussion/vote § Discussion of regional issues, updates, meetings and grants § Discussion of, and act as required on, any new business § Adjourn The Region 51 Public Safety RPC meetings are open to the public.2 All eligible public safety providers in Region 51 may utilize these frequencies. It is essential that eligible public safety agencies in all areas of government, including state, municipality, county, and Native American Tribal be represented in order to ensure that each agency’s future spectrum needs are considered in the allocation process. Administrators who are not oriented in the communications field should delegate someone with this knowledge to attend, participate, and represent their agency’s needs. All interested parties wishing to participate in planning for the use of public safety spectrum in the 700 MHz and 800 MHz bands within Region 51 should plan to attend.
