Brisé. Per NARUC’s nomination, Mr. Brisé has been a state commissioner since July 2010 and currently serves as Chair of the Florida Public Service Commission.3 Chairman Brisé also serves on multiple NARUC Committees, as well as the Federal Communications Commission’s Intergovernmental Advisory Committee.4 Pursuant to section 54.703(c)(1) of the Commission’s rules, only members of the industry or non- industry group that a board member will represent may submit a nomination for that position.5 To expedite the appointment process, members of the industry or non-industry group that a board member will represent are encouraged to nominate a single candidate who possesses substantial experience in, and knowledge of, telecommunications issues. If members of the relevant industry or non-industry group fail to reach consensus on a candidate to serve on the board, pursuant to section 54.703(c)(3) of the Commission’s rules, the Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission will select an individual from that industry or non-industry group to serve on the board.6 1 Letter from James Bradford Ramsay, NARUC, to Marlene H.
