This Order extends the deadlines for filing comments and reply comments for the above captioned proceedings. Comments are now due on June 4, 2012, and reply comments are due on June 19, 2012. 2. On April 24, 2012, the Media and Consumer and Governmental Affairs Bureaus released two Public Notices seeking comment on the Video Programming Accessibility Advisory Committee’s (“VPAAC”) Second Report on the Twenty-First Century Communications and Video Accessibility Act of 2010. One Public Notice sought comment on the portions of the report that address Video Description and Access to Emergency Information,1 and the other Public Notice sought comment on the portion of the report that addresses User Interfaces, and Video Programming Guides and Menus.2 Each Public Notice provided that comments would be due on May 24, 2012, and reply comments would be due on June 8, 2012. 3. It has come to our attention that the National Cable and Telecommunications Association, the national trade association representing the cable industry, will hold its annual Cable Show from May 21- 23, 2012, and many interested parties will attend that show during the week leading up to our original comment deadline. Consequently, we understand that it will be difficult for interested parties to submit their views on the Second VPAAC Report by the original comment date. Therefore, we extend the deadline for all comments and reply comments to June 4, and June 19, 2012, respectively. 4.
