The FCC will also webcast the workshop on the FCC web page. The workshop will provide an overview of DAS and small cell technologies that augment mobile broadband and wireless services in cities and communities. We will also discuss successful deployments of DAS and small cell technologies in both outdoor and indoor public spaces, including hospitals, campuses, buildings, business and historical districts, and transit systems. The workshop will inform municipal leaders, hospital and campus administrators, building owners, transit authorities and interested members of the public how DAS and small cell technologies can provide benefits and economic opportunities by expanding mobile broadband, wireless data coverage, and aiding first responders inside buildings.
