PUBLIC NOTICE FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION 445 12th Street, S.W. WASHINGTON, DC 20554 DA 13-1562 Released: July 11, 2013 WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS BUREAU FURTHER EXTENDS PERIOD FOR REPLY COMMENTS ON THE STATE OF MOBILE WIRELESS COMPETITION AND THE ROLE OF MINORITY AND WOMEN-OWNED BUSINESS ENTERPRISES WT Docket No. 13-135 Reply Comments Due: July 25, 2013 On May 17, 2013, the Bureau released a Public Notice (PN) seeking comment on the state of competition in the mobile wireless marketplace. 1 On July 1, 2013, the Bureau released a follow-up PN extending the date for reply comments, and seeking additional comment on the role minority and women- owned enterprises (MWBEs) play in mobile wireless competition. 2 The date for reply comments was revised to July 15, 2013. Shortly after release of the follow-up PN, the Bureau received a letter from the Minority Media and Telecommunications Council (MMTC) requesting additional time. MMTC states that a 10-day extension would allow for a more meaningful opportunity to respond to the questions regarding MWBEs. 3 As the Bureau’s interest is in developing a full record, we see no harm in allowing parties an additional 10 days in which to file reply comments. Therefore, we grant MMTC’s request for an extension. Pursuant to sections 1.415 and 1.419 of the Commission’s rules, 47 CFR §§ 1.415, 1.419, interested parties may file reply comments on or before July 25, 2013. All filings should refer to WT Docket No. 13-135. Comments may be filed: (1) using the Commission’s Electronic Comment Filing System (ECFS), or (2) by filing paper copies.
