Specifically, Iridium is authorized to continue to operate its satellite, SV023, as a non-transmitting spare satellite, approximately 300 kilometers behind satellite SV094 and at an altitude of approximately 778 kilometers. S2110SAT-STA-20130730-00100 E Effective Date: 08/08/2013Grant of Authority Special Temporary Authority Iridium Constellation LLC On August 8, 2013, the Satellite Division granted special temporary authority to Iridium Constellation LLC, for a period of 60 days, to continue to co-locate one of its spare in-orbit satellites with another satellite in its orbital constellation. Page 1 of 2 INFORMATIVE: The Satellite Division authorized Intelsat Licensee LLC (formerly PanAmSat Licensee Corp.) to operate the Intelsat 5 space station (Call Sign S704) at the 169.0° E.L. orbital location using, among other frequencies, the 10.7-10.95 GHz (space-to-Earth), 11.2-11.45 GHz (space-to-Earth), 11.45-11.7 GHz (space-to-Earth), and 12.75-13.25 GHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands. See IBFS File No. SAT-MOD-20080725-00150, granted Oct. 17, 2008. On October 31, 2012, Intelsat relocated Intelsat 5 from the 169.0° E.L. orbital location. Intelsat is not operating, nor does it indicate any intent to operate, another satellite at the 169.0° E.L. location using the 10.7-10.95 GHz (space-to-Earth), 11.2-11.45 GHz (space-to-Earth), 11.45-11.7 GHz (space-to-Earth), and 12.75-13.25 GHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands that were used by the Intelsat 5 space at this location. Accordingly, the 10.7-10.95 GHz (space-to-Earth), 11.2-11.45 GHz (space-to-Earth), 11.45-11.7 GHz (space-to-Earth), and 12.75-13.25 GHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands at the 169.0° E.L. orbital location are now available for reassignment pursuant to the Commission's first-come, first-served licensing process effective 2:00 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, August 13, 2013. At that time, applicants may file applications for new space stations, market access by non-U.S. licensed space stations, modifications to licensed space stations, or amendments to pending applications taking this announcement into account.
