Washington, D.C. 20554 News Media Information 202 / 418-0500 Internet: http://www.fcc.gov TTY: 1-888-835-5322 DA 13-1799 August 23, 2013 WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS BUREAU GRANTS BROADBAND RADIO SERVICE LICENSE Auction 6 Report No. AUC-6 (Auction 6) On March 28, 1996, the Federal Communications Commission (“FCC”) completed Auction No. 6 for Multipoint Distribution Service (“MDS”) licenses.1 MDS is now the Broadband Radio Service (“BRS”) and is in the 2496-2502, 2602-2615, and 2616-2673.5 MHz bands. After a preliminary review of the FCC long-form application, the application listed in the Attachment to this Public Notice was accepted for filing.2 Upon further review, we find that the application listed in the Attachment is complete and conforms to the Commission’s rules. Grant of this application is pursuant to a Settlement Agreement entered into on October 11, 2012 between Communications Ventures, Inc. (“CVI”), S. William Manera, trustee, and the FCC.3 Furthermore, the FCC has received full payment, as required by section 1.2109(a) of its rules,4 for the license listed in the Attachment.5 Accordingly, by this Public Notice, we announce the grant of the license listed in the Attachment. We grant these license pursuant to Section 309(a) of the Communications Act, 47 U.S.C. § 309(a), and section 0.331 of the Commission’s rules, 47 C.F.R. § 0.331, because it will serve the public interest, convenience, and necessity.
