Washington, D.C. 20554 News Media Information 202 / 418-0500 Internet: http://www.fcc.gov TTY: 1-888-835-5322 DA 13-2000 Released: September 27, 2013 PUBLIC SAFETY AND HOMELAND SECURITY BUREAU ANNOUNCES AGENDA FOR OCTOBER 2, 2013 WORKSHOP ON E911 PHASE II LOCATION ACCURACY AND AVAILABLITY OF ADDITIONAL WIRELESS 911 CALL TRACKING DATA PS Docket No. 07-114 As previously announced, the Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau (PSHSB or Bureau) will host a public workshop on October 2, 2013 to discuss recent developments in the use of wireless technology to contact emergency services.1 By this Public Notice, the Bureau announces the agenda for the workshop, which will take place on Wednesday, October 2, 2013, from 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. in the Commission Meeting Room (TW-C305).2 In addition, the Bureau has received certain wireless 911 call tracking data from state and local public safety entities relating to the provision of Phase II location information to Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs), and is making this data available in the record of PS Docket No. 07-114. The data is available for public access and review through the Bureau’s web page at www.fcc.gov/encyclopedia/phase-2-data-sets.
