File No. 1118 On October 1, 2013, the Wireline Competition Bureau (Bureau) released a Public Notice1 announcing that, due to the lapse in appropriations related to federal agency spending authorizations, the above referenced domestic section 214 discontinuance applications would not be automatically granted, pursuant to section 63.71 of the Federal Communications Commission’s (Commission) rules.2 The Bureau hereby announces that, in the absence of further Commission action, the following comment deadlines and automatic grant dates shall apply to the applications referenced below, pursuant to sections 1, 4(i), and 214 of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended, 47 U.S.C. §§ 151, 154(i), 214, and sections 0.91, 0.291, and 63.71 of the Commission’s rules, 47 C.F.R. §§ 0.91, 0.291, 63.71. 1. Comments Invited on Application of CenturyLink to Discontinue Domestic Telecommunications Services, WC Docket No. 13-211, Public Notice, DA 13-1851 (rel. Aug. 30, 2013). Comments were due on September 30, 2013 and the application will be automatically granted on October 29, 2013, unless the Commission notifies CenturyLink that the grant will not be automatically effective. Comments Invited on Application of TW Telecom of Kentucky LLC to Discontinue Domestic Telecommunications Services, WC Docket No. 13-210, Public Notice, DA 13-1855 (rel. Sept. 3, 2013). Comments were due on September 18, 2013 and the application will be automatically granted on October 22, 2013, unless the Commission notifies tw telecom of kentucky llc (TW Telecom) that the grant will not be automatically effective. Accordingly, pursuant to section 63.71(c) and the terms of TW Telecom’s application and notice, absent further Commission action, TW Telecom may terminate Complete Dynamic ATM service in the area specified in its application on or after October 22, 2013. 3. Comments Invited on Application of Niths Communications Group LLC d/b/a Bridgequick.com to Discontinue Domestic Telecommunications Services, WC Docket No. 13-231, Public Notice, DA 13-1939 (rel. Sept. 19, 2013). Comments were originally due on October 4, 2013, during the period of limited government operations, and are now due on October 22, 2013, pursuant to the Commission’s October 17, 2013 Public Notice.3 The application will be automatically granted on November 5, 2013, unless the Commission notifies Niths Communications Group LLC (Niths) that the grant will not be automatically effective. Accordingly, pursuant to section 63.71(c) and the terms of Niths’ application, absent further Commission action, Niths may terminate resold interstate toll-free number based voice and audio voice and web conferencing services in the areas specified in its application on or after November 5, 2013.
