Media Bureau Announces Comment and Reply Comment Dates
for CALM Act Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking

By this Public Notice, the Media Bureau announces that the Further Notice of Proposed 
Rulemaking (CALM Act FNPRM)1 proposing minor technical changes to the Commercial Advertisement 
Loudness Mitigation (CALM) Act rules was published in the Federal Register on Wednesday, November 
27, 2013,2 starting the pleading cycle for the CALM Act FNPRM proceeding in MB Docket No. 11-93.  
Accordingly, comments are due on Friday, December 27, 2013, and reply comments are due on Monday, 
January 13, 2014.3 Commenters must follow the filing instructions provided in the CALM Act FNPRM.4
The Commission released the CALM Act FNPRM on November 1, 2013.  The CALM Act 
FNPRM is available electronically via the Commission’s Electronic Comment Filing System (ECFS) 
Web site at http://fjallfoss.fcc.gov/ecfs2/ or via the Commission’s Electronic Document Management 
System (EDOCS) Web site at http://fjallfoss.fcc.gov/edocs_public/.
